हालाँकि अभी तक भारत में कोरोनावायरस का प्रसार सीमित है लेकिन जर्मनी से आई एक रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि भारत इस मामले में पूरी तरह से सुरक्षित नहीं है। असल में हमारा नाम उन देशों की सूची में है जहाँ इस वायरस का फैलाव होने की सबसे ज्यादा आशंका है। नॉलेज अनलिमिटेड हिंदी में आइए जानते हैं कि क्या हम भारतीयों को इस मामले में चिंतित होने की ज़रूरत है। जिस रिपोर्ट का जिक्र अभी हमने किया वह जर्मनी की हम्बोल्ट युनिवर्सिटी से आई है। रिपोर्ट का शीर्षक है- 2019 नोवेल कोरोनावायरस ग्लोबल रिस्क असेसमेंट। युनिवर्सिटी के शोधकर्ताओं ने इस बात का अध्ययन किया है कि किस देश से यात्री किस देश में ज्यादा यात्रा करते हैं और एक से दूसरे देश में होते हुए वे कैसे तीसरे तथा चौथे देश में पहुँचते हैं। इस बात का पता लगाना कोरोनावायरस की रोकथाम में काफी मददगार सिद्ध हो सकता है कि यात्रियों के जरिए वायरसों का संक्रमण किस तरह से एक से दूसरे देश तक पहुँच सकता है। इस तरह के वायरसों के अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर फैलने में हवाई यात्राओं का योगदान सबसे ज्यादा होता है। हालाँकि चीन के जिस शहर वुहान से कोरोनावायरस फैला है, वहाँ का हवाई अड्डा 23 जनवरी को ही बंद कर दिया गया था लेकिन उससे पहले न जाने कितने यात्री वुहान से चीन के दूसरे शहरों या दुनिया के शहरों में गए होंगे। इतना ही नहीं, कोरोनावायरस अनेक चीनी शहरों में फैल चुका है इसलिए बात सिर्फ वुहान तक सीमित नहीं रह गई है।
कॉमन सेंस की बात है कि जिन देशों में सबसे ज्यादा हवाई यातायात होता है वहाँ इस तरह के संक्रमणों के फैलने की आशंका ज्यादा होगी, बशर्ते वहाँ पर वायरस प्रभावित क्षेत्रों से सीधे यात्री आते हों या फिर किसी तीसरे देश से ऐसे यात्री आए हों जो कुछ समय पहले वायरस वाले इलाके में थे। हालाँकि भारत में चीन से आने वाले यात्रियों के मामले में बहुत सावधानी बरती जा रही है लेकिन तीसरे देशों से आने वाले ऐसे यात्रियों का पता लगाना मुश्किल होता है जो किसी न किसी रूप में वायरस के प्रभाव में आए हों। यात्रियों को किसी देश में जाते समय आव्रजन फॉर्म में अपनी पिछली छह महीने की यात्राओं का जिक्र करना होता है। लेकिन ज़रूरी नहीं कि हर यात्री सच्चाई बताए। खासकर ऐसी स्थिति में, जबकि कोरोनावायरस को लेकर दुनिया भर में बहुत ज्यादा सतर्कता बरती जा रही है और चीन यात्रा का जिक्र करने पर उस यात्री को वापस अपने देश लौटना पड़ सकता है या फिर किसी अस्पताल के अलग-थलग पड़े वार्ड में आगे जाँच के लिए भेजा जा सकता है।
