The day is also about calling for action to accelerate gender parity.In fact that's the core message of the International Women's Day campaign this year - #EachForEqual. In India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a first-of-its kind campaign this year to celebrate womanhood - #SheInspiresUs. The idea is to shine a light on some famous women who have contributed to society with their talent, perseverance and wisdom - and are an inspiration for all of us.
