The ‘Blackness’ of the Ancient Egyptians: indirect – direct evidence

The ‘Blackness’ of the Ancient Egyptians: indirect – direct evidence I have two corrections in this video. At 28:20 the person depicted is a Karrayyu man from Ehtiopia. At 54:50 the person depicted is an Afar man from Ethiopia.

In this live session, we will have a brief conversation regarding how to use internal evidence to make a case in Ancient Egyptian history when certain ideas are not explicitly expressed in the texts (i.e., deductive reasoning). We will look at some internal facts that support the notion that the ancient Egyptians were 'black' -- by the standards of our modern social constructs -- without the ancient Egyptians ever explicitly stating that they were.
