Jake Killeen joined me for 9 holes at the stunning Star City Links - he's the pro there and was kind enough to share some secrets and I think you won't be surprised that you may have heard some of the tips before!
Star City is in Yangon and is a beautiful location with lovely 9 holes with 2 sets of tees and 2 sets of flags on the greens. It's unique indeed and the potbunkers give it a links feel.
I had just played 18 holes in the morning, after 4 hours of sleep and then drove 2 hours across town to Star City. There were two accidents on the way so it was traffic galore!
Jake points out that a VERY important aspect of picking a coach is to get an accredited guy, someone with a good reputation, but mainly, you need to LIKE and TRUST the pro. Without that, you're doomed and there will be no real learning.
He also walks us through HOW TO READ a PUTT. This is a helpful little tutorial especially for those who fear the lag putt!
