Smitty was on the nest when an adult flew from under then nest with another right behind. They flew over the field and both back up above the nest in the attic area. Smitty remained in the nest for a few minutes, altered, then flew off. Bella soon returned to continue incubation. They have been on alert recently, so it was likely Bella chasing an intruder.
