Much of Queen of Misfits actually doesn't touch on Trixie's relationship with Starlight. I wanted to maybe have some room for that in another project sometime. However, of the songs that do analyze this beautiful ship, Different Kind of Magic definitely does it the most indiscreetly. I wanted it to be absolutely bursting with the cutest and most bubbly emotions the two have for each other. And although Chibadeer doesn't necessarily have an official writing credit on this, she and I definitely worked closely together on the narrative of this song. I feel nothing but warmness about it!
