The coronavirus outbreak in Iran is the second deadliest in the world, and has even spread to top officials. On March 2, Mohammad Mirmohammadi, an aide to Iran's Supreme Leader, died from the disease. China has offered testing kits and a medical team in a bid to repay Iran's support to China during the initial outbreak. Meanwhile the U.S. says it is willing to help Iran contain the outbreak, but has made no mention of lifting sanctions that would allow Iran to purchase medical supplies.
