BANGKOK CHINATOWN | What It Looks Like These Days

BANGKOK CHINATOWN | What It Looks Like These Days Welcome to BANGKOK CHINATOWN. Let`s see what it looks like these days.
Chinatown is one of the oldest areas of Bangkok. It is the result of the resettlement of Chinese on the west bank of Chao Phraya River after King Rama I moved the capital of the kingdom from Thonburi to Rattanakosin.
Nowadays, every Chinese New Year festival Yaowarat Road will become a venue for great celebrations. The road will be closed for the pedestrian street. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has always presided over the opening ceremony, and since December 15, 2019, on every Sunday, this road from 07:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. will be completely closed to become a pedestrian street (only section Chaloem Buri to Ratchawong Intersections).
For anyone with a sense of adventure, a day lost among the many market alleys and street food vendors can be the most memorable of any spent in Bangkok.
Thanks to the mix of Chinese and Thai cultures, this part of town is unique and fascinating, especially for photographers who'll find stunning temples, exotic street food, and everyday street scenes just begging to be captured.
Enjoy today's video about the food stalls in Chinatown and the amazing street food there.
