Congress workers to stage a protest outside Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa's residence today to condemn sedition case filed against Bidar's Shaheen school...Security heightened at CM's residence.....,
Several congress workers including Dinesh Gundu Rao, Rizwan Arshad, Siddaramaiah and other leaders were detained who were en route to CM BS Yediyurppa's residence Cauvery on KK Road.
Congress leaders stage protest against state govt several reasons. Congress workers protest at Maurya circle over the Bihar sedition case and Ballari accident case. Congress workers allege cops are trying to cover up the Ballari accident case to shield powerful people.
Police had filed a sedition case against Bidar's Shaheen school, its headmistress and a student's mother over anti-CAA play. Schoolchildren allegedly opposed CAA and abused Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the play.
Congress has condemned the police action and extended moral support to Shaheen school management, teachers and students. Former CM Siddaramaiah, KPCC working president Eshwar Khandre, and Shivajinagar Congress MLA Rizwar Arshad had recently visited Shaheen school in Bidar and offered moral support.
