ROGUE PROVISIONS - THE ONE MINUTE SERMON - TOMS
Good morning friends, hope you had a week full of learning, applying and growing. Let me close the week with one more thought from Romans 13.
Paul advises us “make no provision for the flesh”. Bulk of the sins we commit are because we make provision for it much before we actually commit it. Once a provision is made, it’s just a matter of time. When a temptation that matches the provision comes, the lust inside us gets stirred up and then we are drawn into committing it and that too with least resistance.
Suppose I think that I have never tasted “Vodka”, wish I could – I just made a provision for the flesh. Now if Vodka will be offered to me anytime, or any place I will drink it without thinking twice. Hope you got it.
Go turn the store room of your minds upside down, find out the rogue provisions and throw them out. Make provision for the Spirit.
