The black magic that is calorie counting!
Many people wonder how many calories are burnt during an hour of cycling but its actually not quite the straightforward question than many people think it is.
To begin with there are two types of calories and, secondly, we don't all burn calories at the same rate.
There are many factors that go in to determining how many calories are burned during cycling so its not a 'one size fits all' kind of answer; factors that include age, sex, current weight, metabolism, and intensity of the cycling that you are doing.
It doesn't take a genius to work out that the harder your ride your bike, the more calories you will burn.
That said, it is possible to calculate a calorie figure that is personal to you.
