16 February 2020 | Ephesians 1:21– far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Perhaps one of the most important aspects of this prayer is how Paul uses the culture of Ephesus to say something to the Christians that they needed to hear – Jesus is the name above every name. This is such a familiar phrase for us, but for them they would have heard it quite differently to how we hear it. Join Ps Ellison Tsang as we learn that we are not to pray to Jesus for magic blessings, but we are to rise up in faith and know how powerful His name is, and how that name is truly above all others.
