𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 ….. On Sunday February 23rd in the 5th period of what was their 4th game of the weekend the 16U Long Island Rebels brought home the Long Island Championship.
This is Zach scoring that Double Overtime Championship winning Goal, burying an epic thread pass from Scoops (as he is known to the team)
In speaking with Zach, he said he found the strength to keep skating because he did not want to feel what he felt when his team lost in the Long Island Championship last year.
𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Though as I parent it was so hard to bear witness to last year’s loss there is great pride in the WIN and in knowing that loss fed his desire to push forward and give that little bit extra it took to grab the prize that had eluded him.
It is no secret I am huge hockey fan, it is so wonderful to see the sport teaching my sons so many of the lessons it has taught me.
Thank you, Robert Rosenberg for the 🎥
